Hunting the Nile Lechwe with Side by Side Safaris

At Side by Side Safaris, we are proud – as one of a very few safari operators in South Africa –– to offer hunting for the rare and very beautiful Nile Lechwe antelope. Hunting the Nile Lechwe in its natural habitat: Southern Sudan and Gambella in Ethiopia, has not been possible for decades. Fortunately, after years of hard work, it has been possible to establish a few healthy populations of this rare antelope in South Africa. These populations are now big enough to sustain a limited hunting pressure. It is a fantastic opportunity we are now able to offer to a limited number of safari guests. On a recent hunt in the area, we managed to take photograph this mature Nile Lechwe bull with a slightly bent right horn. A superb trophy that will become one of the stars in any trophy collection.
