Genet Cat is one of the nocturnal wildlife species Side By Side Safaris can offer to our safari clients. There are many subspecies of Genet Cat, but the one you can hunt in Side By Side Safaris’ areas in the Eastern Cape province is the Small Spotted Genet Cat.

The Genet Cat has a great long tail, up to 50cm long, which it uses to manage its balance when climbing and jumping in trees.

Genet Cat is primarily nocturnal and the hunt for this wild species will take place in the early morning and late evening hours. Genet Cat feed primarily on insects, mice and other small animals.

It is advisable to shoot this wild species with a shotgun or .22 Magnum.

Side By Side Safaris’ exclusive hunting lodge is located in the middle of a hunting area for Genet Cat and can be hunted directly from the lodge.
